This was a very large rat snake we caught in the pergola, covered in wisteria, right outside our bedroom door. We set him free. I know one of these days my kids will pick up a deadly snake and play with it since we are so relaxed about holding these fascinating creatures. I hope Dr. Sood isn't reading this!
